Bronx County Supreme Court
Located off the Grand Concourse within the Special Grand Concourse Preservation District, the Bronx County Supreme Court is a 14-story historic landmark designed by Max Hausle and Joseph Freedlander. Constructed between 1931 and 1934, the building was designated as an individual New York City Landmark in 1976.
CTA is currently leading the renovation of the courthouse, a three-phase project set for completion by 2027. The restoration includes renovating all four facades, with parapet reconstruction, limestone restoration, Dutchman repairs, and window sealant replacement. Interior finish repairs will take place on the first, eighth, and ninth floors, while two roof replacements will introduce a new green roofing system and a standing seam copper roof at the courtyard roof.
