Our team is leading a major restoration of the Manhattanville campus in West Harlem, a property of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). With a budget exceeding $222 million, our aim is to significantly improve the living conditions of the over 2,900 residents while preserving the site's historical integrity.

The Manhattanville campus, located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan near Columbia University, holds a rich history and serves as a home for over 2,900 residents. Through this monumental project, we seek to enhance the lives of our community members by addressing their concerns, such as plumbing problems, leaks, elevator outages, broken lobby doors, lighting, and overall safety across the buildings and grounds.

Partnering with Gilbane Development, Apex Building Group, and the local community group, West Harlem Group Assistance (WHGA), we are working to create a comprehensive blueprint for the restoration. Our plan includes a complete rehabilitation of all 1272 units in 6 buildings, extensive façade work, HVAC overhauls, and grounds rehabilitation. Moreover, we are committed to reactivating community spaces, indoors and outdoors, fostering opportunities for social interaction and community-building.

Inclusivity and accessibility are at the forefront of our efforts. We strive to ensure that all residents, regardless of physical ability, can enjoy and access the revitalized campus. With coordination from the Tenants Association and administration through the State Historic Preservation Office, our project exemplifies how historic preservation and modern living can harmoniously coexist.
