The restoration of 32 and 34 Greene Street centered on the preservation of their historic cast iron facades, which are significant features of the SoHo Cast Iron Historic District. The process began with thorough documentation of the buildings' exteriors, including windows, facades, and cornices. Deteriorated sections of the facades were carefully repaired, and any missing components were replicated to match the original design.

At 32 Greene Street, all windows were replaced with new windows that adhere to historical standards and functionality. The ornate sheet metal cornice of this building was fully replicated to precisely match the original design, ensuring its seamless integration with the rest of the façade.

For 34 Greene Street, the restoration involved partial replication of the cornice. Additionally, new masonry support walls and stainless-steel armatures were installed to enhance the stability of the cornice.

To complete the restoration, all street façade elements were painted with a historically accurate color that was determined through paint analysis and approved by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.
