At 900 Fifth Avenue, we were tasked with a significant restoration project on a 21-story residential building with a concrete frame and white-glazed brick curtain wall. Our team was responsible for the complete removal and replacement of all exterior masonry, including parapet walls and steel shelf-angles. We also replaced the building's public and private roof systems with new paved walking surfaces and designed a new railing system that met current code and reflected the original design.

Given that the building is located in the Upper East Side Historic District, our work required multiple presentations to the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission to ensure that the new white clay-coated brick matched the appearance of the original glazed brick. This was an essential step in preserving the historical integrity of the building while also ensuring its continued functionality for its residents and the medical facilities located on the ground level.
