We are proud to have been a part of the groundbreaking initiative to create New York City's first and only Girls Club. The Lower East Side Girls Club is a state-of-the-art facility that provides essential support and resources to hundreds of economically disadvantaged girls and their families.
Our team was responsible for designing the 90,000 square-foot mixed-use building located at 101 Avenue D. Collaborating closely with the Girls Club, we created a space that is both functional and sustainable, designed to LEED Gold standards. The building features classrooms, a library, administrative offices, a 1958 Overlander Airstream Trailer podcast studio, and a custom-designed 30-foot planetarium, all carefully crafted to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment for the girls.
Participating in such a significant undertaking and contributing to the establishment of a groundbreaking space, the Lower East Side Girls Club marks a historic milestone as the first facility of its kind in the city, exclusively designed to cater to the needs and aspirations of young women.
